The Halton FASD Resource Team is pleased to announce training for parents/ caregivers and professionals currently supporting someone with diagnosed or suspected fetal alcohol spectrum disorder (FASD).
When: April 4, 11, 18 & 25, 2018 6:30-9 pm
Where: Milestone Foster Homes
3365 Harvester Rd., Ste. 201, Burlington, ON
During these training sessions you will learn:
- How prenatal exposure to alcohol affects the brain.
- How FASD impacts behaviour and functioning.
- An intervention framework for supporting individuals with FASD.
- How to improve transitions and advocate for appropriate supports.
We will be offering both daytime and evening sessions for this training. There will be a registration fee of $50.00 for professionals. Parents/ caregivers and students will not be subject to a registration fee.
