This workshop is open to both youth ages 12+ and parents/caregivers. It will provide information and tools for managing social isolation, low mood, stress and anxiety, as well as information for how to support others who might be struggling with any of these challenges. In this workshop, participants will learn the difference between active listening and passive/dismissive listening, how to increase self compassion and provide empathic responses to others, the difference between “toxic positivity” and genuine support, as well as several relaxation strategies.
